A Little Bit French

Bonjou, mes amis! I had fun with the title of today’s post. I hope you had a lovely weekend. Ours was very busy and the weather was teasing us with warmer temps, But we know a cool front is just around the corner. We did take advantage of the weather and we spent time outside working in the yard. Why am I greeting you in French and rambling about the weekend weather…….it’s to ease you into today’s incredibly super simple recipe.

Before I dive in though, did you know that French Toast did not originate in France? It’s actually from Belgium. It is called  pain perdu in French. French toast always makes me think of My Mother. She used to make it for us  (my brother and I) before she went to work . She would  put it in the oven on warm and we would eat it before school (covered in powdered sugar) . Now I’m writing about my mother, why? Because she is coming to visit! I am so excited. It’s been three years since I have been able to hug her in person.

Just one more thing, a very important one too. We have a winner ( all winners for my giveaways are selected through the rafflecopter system)  The April Showers giveaway winner is Rosey from Mail4Rosey!  Please join me in congratulating Rosey.
